About Creemore & Area

Creemore

Historic Creemore, founded in 1842, has its own special magic with lovely Victorian architecture, artists’ studios, and the picturesque Purple Hills. The entry into town presents a view that has changed little in over a century. Just 1 ½ hour north of Toronto, Creemore is a world away from its hustle and bustle. No fast food restaurants, muffler shops or malls. Just plenty of fresh country air, spectacular scenery and good old-fashioned hospitality. Creemore was selected by Harrowsmith Country Life magazine as one of the ten prettiest towns in Canada. ("My Kind of Town: Fourth Annual Salute: Creemore, Tom Cruickshank, April, 2001.")

There are lots of things to do and discover around Creemore, and the Inn’s Concierge can help you enjoy them all.

Start your day at the local Farmer’s Market (Saturdays only), hike the Bruce Trail, go horseback riding, and tour the Creemore Spring Brewery. Stroll Mill Street and checkout the local shops including a lovely bookstore and art gallery featuring many local artists. Visit Ontario’s smallest jail. Golfing and biking are also available locally. There are always special things happening around town, so check the local calendar and papers for timely information.

Collingwood

Collingwood, a 25 minute drive away, is located on the southern shore of Georgian Bay and at the foot of Ontario's highest ski hill, Blue Mountain. There are year-round activities for the entire family such as live theatrical productions, tours of historic homes, parks, and four season sports facilities.

Wasaga Beach

Enjoy 14 kilometres of white sand beach, swim in warm, clean waters and take in the panoramic mountain views across the bay.
